Alaska Exposure Girls College Showcase

Jim Young spent 21 seasons coaching the Dimond Lynx girls' basketball program, winning five Class 4A state championships and developing athletes who went on to compete at the collegiate and professional levels — including WNBA player Alisa Pili. A three-time Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches Coach of the Year, he now serves as Sports Director for the YMCA of Alaska and serves on the Board of Directors for the Prospect Athletics Foundation. For 18 years, he has run the Alaska Exposure clinic to create connection, opportunity, and foster the growth of Alaska's sports community.

Since 2008, more than 100 female Alaska athletes have gone on from this showcase to earn college scholarship opportunities.
