The 2026 Alaska Basketball Academy All-Star Game didn't tip until after 11 p.m., and the crowd showed up for all of it. The UAF college team had their annual match up with the camp All Star team and the Nanooks ran out to a 66-23 win. The high school fans gave the college squad the full treatment, playful boos on one possession and ooh's and ahh's on the next. The late start is part of the tradition here. The gym stayed loud the whole way.
Familiar names carried the night. Deng Deng, who came up at East High and now plays for UAF, threw down one of several dunks the Nanooks side put on the rim. Teammate Marcus Stockhausen, the former Ketchikan guard, pulled from deep with a smile of confidence. UAF kept attacking, the finishes kept coming, and the boos kept rolling in right behind them.
The all-star night caps the annual Team Camp, which drew 58 boys teams from across Alaska this year. That kind of turnout is what makes it the offseason stop every program should be circling on their calendars. The players who show up get a week of summertime reps against the best the state has to offer, and the night ends with a show like this one.
Final: UAF 66, All-Stars 23 (2026 Alaska Basketball Academy All-Star Game)
