1A Girls Semifinal | Fort Yukon Rolls to Title Game, Three-Peat in Sight

Two-time defending champion Fort Yukon wasted no time. The Eagles jumped out to a 22-6 first-quarter lead and never looked back, beating Tri-Valley 52-26 to advance to the 1A girls championship game.

Kylee Carroll — the 2025 1A Girls Player of the Year — led Fort Yukon with 19 points. Nellie Ward added 12 and Jane Ward contributed seven as the Eagles' experience showed from the opening tip. Fort Yukon held Tri-Valley to single digits in the first and third quarters and the outcome was never in question.

Faith Mudge had 13 to lead Tri-Valley, but the Bears couldn't generate enough offense to slow a Fort Yukon team that has been here before — twice.

The Eagles beat Newhalen 62-51 for the 2024 title and topped Shaktoolik 37-33 to defend it in 2025. Now they get Newhalen again — a rematch of that 2024 championship game — with a three-peat on the line.

Final: Fort Yukon 52, Tri-Valley 26 | 1A Girls Semifinal | 2026 March Madness Alaska
