4A Girls Semifinal | Service Wants Another Shot. Bartlett Had the Answer. | March Madness Alaska 2026

Friday, March 20, 2026 | UAA Alaska Airlines Center

Kaylee Lealaisalanoa scored 10 of her 12 points in the first quarter and Bartlett never surrendered the lead, holding off Service 53–49 in the 4A Girls Semifinal at March Madness Alaska 2026 to reach the state championship game for the first time since 2021.

The Golden Bears jumped out fast. Lealaisalanoa's early burst gave Bartlett a cushion that Service spent the rest of the night chasing. The Cougars clawed back in the second quarter, holding Bartlett to six points and pulling within three at the half, 28–25. Aryanna Watson and Leia Silva kept the pressure on — Watson finished with 12, Silva with 16 — but Bartlett's lead never flipped.

Then the game got complicated. Harmony Jenkins-Foster fell six minutes in and had to be helped off the court by teammates, grabbing her right knee. She returned with two minutes left in the third, played another minute and a half, then went down again — limping off and not returning. Her status heading into Saturday's championship against MCCA is uncertain.

Bartlett responded without her. Sina Maugaotega hit a three in the fourth to push the lead back, and with Service trailing by one and 58 seconds left, Kennedi Gaines read a pass, picked it off for her fifth steal of the game, pulled up at the arc, and buried the three. Game over.

Gaines led Bartlett with 16. Farrah Gamechuck and Nahliah Houston each added 9.

For Service, Watson and Silva combined for 28 in a game that stayed close until the final minute. Bartlett is back in the final.

Final: Bartlett 53, Service 49 (4A Girls Semifinal)
